Firstly I chose this image as I thought it created the eerie atmosphere which I wanted to show in my poster.
As you can see here there are many elements which relate to my product aim. For example by including the Ouija board it instantly presents to the audience that somewhere in our fm horror will be featured. Also by including one of our main characters (the little girl ghost) it reveals that this could be possibly one of the cast to the audience. By including the doll in my image I feel that it gives a sense of innocence about our character. It represents to the audience that this is only a young child and she could be the innocent one and there is a sense of mystery about it.
In the above image it is a print screen of when I first started to edit our on the computer in the hope that it would be sucsessfull to use for our poster. Firstly I used photoshop to enhance and brighten the hue and saturation on our image. There is a clear difference when we compare the images as we can see that there is a brighter glow shining on our character which makes her more visible to the audience and allows her to stand out more. Also by brightening the image it's brightened the candles flame which also sets a more eerie atmosphere and highlights the Ouija board.
Another decision which we had to make was where abouts we could place our title and tag line etc. When testing out ideas we figured out that with this image there was little room to include certain important elements. In order to try and avoid this situation we tried to crop our image and only include the Ouija board however as you can see below this did not work either. As this caused evident problems we decided to change our image to make it fit.
