As we had all of our images from our filming day I decided that it would be good if I could make a start to our magazine front cover.
First I selected the image which I thought would be successful for our magazine.
However then although the image was a perfect shot for our front cover I did not feel that the background was sufficient enough to be a magazine cover. This is why I chose to carefully cut out the girl and erase the background.
At first I decided that I would experiment with a black background for my magazine, however, I discovered that it was too plain. Although having a black background would make my image stand out more I decided to go for a blending blue and black background by using the gradient tool. Below is how my background turned out to look like.
- As you can see here I started to add things such as Bar codes and my magazine name. At first 'FGN' was only a mock up name for my magazine but I decided that it worked well as it was short and catchy such as many programs and magazines in society now like 'NME' and MTV'. FGN stands for Film Generation now.
